Does he need visa or any other requirements?

  1. Yes, he does need a visa.


  2. Yes he will more than likely need a (Schengen) visa to visit Poland depending on his exact nationality which you do not mention

    The UK is not part of the Schengen zone and therefore for all tourists visiting/staying a specific visa is required which is not able to be used in the Schengen zone (and vice versa) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schengen_ar...

    My husband is non-EU and a permanent residence (permit holder) in the Netherlands.  When we have to visit the UK, he has to obtain a visa as well

    Once your friend obtains the visa (and it has no restrictions e.g. applicable to one country only) then he/she is free to travel within the Schengen zone
