My female friend is currently 110 pounds i believe, and she plans on losing more (wants to reach 99lb). She was 125 before and already lost 15. She is quite short as well. She takes crazy diets that involve basically starving yourself and not eating. She has blacked out a few times from lack of food.

She loves drugs. she wants to do everyting there is out there.

So far she has done weed, shrooms, crack. She wants to do coke, e, lsd, laced weed, pcp, and probally more.

I try to talk to her and tell her she is fine the way she is, and that she shouldn't be doing any more drugs - but her mind is fixated on all of this. Nothing you say can change her. Its like watching a train wreck. Her parents are oblivious, and her other friends arn't much help/support. What do you do with a person like that? I feel as though i should let her be and do what she wants, but it is painful and sad. She is a very good friend of mine.

  1. My sister went through the same exact thing..U have to tell her parents. My sisters best friend told my parents and they immediately helped her.. They put her in rehab they forced her to eat and slowly she started getting better..About a year ago her ex bf died of an over dose and she was completely wrecked so she stayed in her room for days with bottles of vodka and weed. My parents literally dragged her to the ER and she got a feeding tube ( she was 94 pounds and 5'2) Just recently my sister got better and she no longer has the feeding tube and she goes to counseling and she got better...Everyday my sister thanks her friend for saving her life. Please tell her parents and save her life..Wouldnt u rather have her live and be healthy? It's never too late..Tell her parents

  2. tell her she is going to die if she doesnt stop and if that doesnt scare her look up nasty pics of druggies and stuff and say this is what you will be if you dont stop.

  3. just let her be crazy. that happened with a friend of mine. we were best friends until she started drinking...

  4. That can be painful. Unfortunately though you can not help someone who doesn't want to be helped. If she is under age you should tell her parents.

  5. I would highly suggest that you do talk to her parents.  There are higher levels of eating disorders in people with mood/ psychological disorders.  In some cases, their eating disorder is a secondary symptom to an underlying psychological disorder.

Some of the psychological illness that can be (but are not always) found in people suffering with Anorexia, Bulimia and Compulsive Overeating are: Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Depression, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, BiPolar and BiPolar II Disorder, Borderline Personality Disorder, Panic Disorders and anxiety, and Dissociative Disorder and Multiple Personality Disorder.

Your friend sounds a bit like me when I was younger.  It took ten years to figure out that I was bipolar.  With proper help and medication it is possible for her to get better.
