My friend is disappointed what should i tell her?

one of my friends helped me find a job and i got the job thanks to her, but after only two days i felt really bad and i didnt like the job so i quit, and the company called her to tell her it was a bad idea and i was a flake. since that shes been trying to call me and left messages but i didnt call back cos i dnt know how she will take it.

how would you feel if your friend acted like that? would you understand the persons behaviour?

You acted immature and irresponsible and are continuing to do so by not answering her calls or messages. if you value your friendship you need to call her and apologize.

You're going to have to face your friend eventually.  If not on the phone you may run into her somewhere so what are you going to say?  

The fact that you got the job on her referral and then quit after two days makes her look very bad.  What if she had done this to you?  

Only two days on a job is not really much of a chance to see whether you will work out.  Instead of just quitting you should have let her know up front that things were not working out the way you expected.    Maybe there were somethings she could have helped you with or given you a bit of insight on about the company to make the transition a bit easier.  What ever the case,  you do need to speak to her directly (face to face) because she helped you get the job.  If you don't speak to her she may be reluctant to help you again.  

Be honest with her about it. Do tell her you appreciate her help but explain why you didn't think the job was for you.  She may not like it but at least you two will be clear on things.  

I do understand your friends behavior.  You don't realize it but you put in her a very odd position.  For your next job give it a chance. No job is perfect but if you put in a bit of effort you may find that you actually enjoy the work.  If that is not the case at least you will know you tried instead of just quitting.
