  1. If you want Door Supervisors they would need to hold SIA, (Security Industry Authority), licenses. You have to ask yourself will the scale of the event merit the expense. Hiring bouncers will put a big hole in the charities profit and you can no longer use anyone not holding a license.

    Much would depend on your target age group and drugs are as likely a problem as alcohol so you do have think about it carefully. You would be liable for damage to the hall and toilets.

    Any event that involves youth and a bar needs stewarts. It would make the event much more safer and i guess parents would be more reluctant to send their kids there.

  3. I can't really answer your question, but try asking your local council - they will know the score. Alternatively, try asking your local rotary club which you can find at www.rotary.org - they will also know abuot things like that

  5. I would - unless you know and can vouch for everyone who attends, and have a fool proof system for stopping gate crashers. Alcohol and dancing usually means that bouncers will be needed at some point during the evening.
