My friend is in boot at camp Pendleton. Will he receive my letters there?

I have his address but its the address that goes to the San Diego base. Right now he is in phase II which means that they go to Camp Pendleton for field week and other stuff. Will he get my letters when he's in Camp Pendleton or will he get them when he gets back to San Diego?

Pendelton is in San Diego and I'm sure he will get your mail.

yes he will. during phase 3 he will return to his previous post, and will get all the mail he missed. he probably will never get anything on time, or in the order that you send the letters, but eventually he gets all his mail.

I believe people misread your question.  You want to know if he'll get mail while at Pendleton or back at MCRD San Diego.  The answer is at MCRD San Diego...no mail for recruits at Pendleton...

And what the guy said above about sending food...is soooo true...don't do it...make sure to let him know about everything that is going on in the outside world...everything.   You have no access to news or information except through letters.  Tell him about world events, about what's going on in your area...he can share this info with the rest of the recruits.

Yes he will....  DO NOT SEND FOOD (cookies, cans of peanuts or cashews etc)  he will be humilated and punished.  How do I know? I've been through boot camp.  We got mail and dreaded the possibility that someone with good intentions would send some cookies (very bad idea).
