  1. Your friend can send you an invitation if she can support her invitation with fact that she has sufficient funds to support you. But for most cases the invitation will not carry much weight. If you have not traveled to other countries much, it is unlikely that you will get a Canadian visa so do not try for it in India.

If you plan to visit USA and have a visa to US, I will suggest you try to apply from any consulate in US, it is far more easier.

I live in Canada for the last many years. I have had these experiences in case of many of my friends and relatives.

Please take my advise, if you have traveled to other countries and you also have a US visa then there are chances you may get the visa. The cost of visa is substantial and is also non-refundable. I am from India now living in Canada and I have had similar experiences with some of my friends trying to apply for visa in India. They get turned down for no apparent reason. The chances of getting a visa for Canada from a Canadian consulate in US at many places like Buffalo, Detroit NY, etc. are far easier and takes just a few hours.

  2. Depends on what country U are from because some people don't need visas.  :--0
