My friend is on a student visa and he got caught driving without any license&insurance. what's gonna happen?

will it affect his application for visa extension? what are the chances that it will? how much fine will he get and will he be banned from driving? ( we are in london)

That will be up to the court that hears his case.  I would guess it will affect his application for an extension, since he doesn't seem to want to follow the rules.
