My friend is running a 10k?

I have never seen or watched a 10k before and I don't want to run out of things to yell or yell the same thing over and over that doesn't mean anything. She needs a lot of motivation because she is really scared about this.

  1. just keep telling her how much her *** jiggles when she runs and how fat she is... thats good motivation

  2. Well, if she's running with other people, ask her to pace someone. Find a comfortable inhaling-exhaling pattern and maintain it throughout the run. It's also good to let the mind wander off, ie day dream. I find it very useful when I go for my 5km run, so hope it works. Oh, and lastly, ask her not to drink right before running, cause it'll cause stitches. Hope it helps!

  3. Along with the other suggestions, get the people next to you to help cheer her on - especially at the finish line.  Just tell the people her name and they'll yell like crazy for her. She'll get a big kick out of it and its fun for you and the other folks in the crowd.

  4. If your friend is running a race, and you can see her at several different places along the race, then you can tell her how she is doing, give her a drink, and encourage her.

Tell her how far she has come, and it is not much farther to the finish.

Make sure she is relaxed, and stays hydrated.
