Hey!

well i have to admit that's not my question, but since NOONE ever answers my questions i had write something that would catch your attention so heres my real question:

How do I switch my group of friends?

Well, I'm going into grade 10. next year and I have 4 really good friends that I hung out with in grade 9 . I feel like I want a change , I want a new group of friends because my current group just isn't working very well, I feel like we never hang out because 1 friend visits her dad every weekend, 1 friend has hockey every friday night and 1 lives far away. Also they all have other groups of friends they can chill with and I don't! I want a new group of friends I can chill with too!! The problem is I don't know how to break into a new group of friends, how do i become part of someone elses crew. I'm really nervous that I might not be able to make any new friends for school!

sorry for tricking u but pleez answer!

  1. dear maria, I'm sorry no one has ever answered you questions, they deserve an answer. the best way to make a new friend is to start a convo with someone in class about something you just learned... from there ask you new friend about his/her other classes.. and take it from there remember to smile and make eye contact and always be yourself... good luck

  2. okay i think you should still stay with your old friends i mean if you guys still talk and stuff but just don't hang out that much i mean if you still at least still have good times on the phone then i say you should still be friends with them but i think you can let new ppl come in your life. to let more ppl come into you life go out and do new stuff like go be in plays sports debating teams dace singing lessons etc. good luck. :D

  3. Take time to look around and choose someone who you'd like to have for a friend.  Notice what you can about this person, and if you like what you see, then prepare yourself to make a new friend.  Walk up to them and perhaps ask a question.  That might break the ice.  Continue the conversation, and if you still like this person, ask if they'd like to hang out somewhere.  To form a friendship takes time.  If it doesn't work out after a couple of weeks, then look for someone else.  Once you're "in" with this new friend, after a while, their friends just might become your friends, too!

I know what you mean about some friends becoming unavailable as time goes by.  Life changes and people change too.  You'll probably always be friends with your original group, even if you don't hang out with them like you used to.  Like the saying goes, "Make new friends and keep the old; one is silver and the other is gold."
