My friend is taking Darvocet for pain....?

And she is experiencing pain to the touch on her skin shortly after she just took the pill. Is this a side-effect she should be concerned about?

She's experiencing what is called hyperaesthesia (basically overly sensitive and painful to the touch skin).  This is a side effect and is bothersome, but not inherently dangerous in itself.  Side-effects are unfortunate, but she should be able to call her physician to have the script changed to something else.  I hope she feels better.
