The problem is that our office does hours based on PTO time. So your vacation, sick, etc are all wrapped into so much. She gets like 30 days, but has been her over 7 years. Her new boss cannot have children and it very spiteful by this. Well, my friend has a little boy that requires shots every 2-3 months. She asked her new boss to use a couple hours PTO time to get off to take him to get his shots and she refused telling her that wasn't a good enough reason. This is all after 3 weeks ago the daycare called and she refused to let her leave to pick up her sick child threatening to fire her. Is this illegal? Any ideas how she can fix this problem with her boss. They are her PTO days shouldn't she be able to use them as need be. They preach about schedule your PTO time please. Like you can schedule a week in advance whether your going to be sick next tuesday. Yet, when you do then they pull this c**p, any opinions for my friend?
