  1. Tell her to go her local bus station & pick up a time table.

    ♣

  2. Try looking in traveline

  3. Ok i looked into this because i'm from near St.Ives,

The closest railway station to Heanor is  2km down the hill at Langley Mill on the line between Nottingham and Alfreton

She will need to get the train at Lanley Mill to Huntingdon because

St.Ives does not have a train station, it will take roughly 2 hours and a half.

She will need to change trains at Peterborough and get on a train to Huntingdon, this will only take 20 minutes tops.

Once in huntingdon she will need to go to the bus station and get on the bus to St.Ives.

  4. Try using the government funded portal, Transport Direct.

Transport Direct is the only website that offers information for door-to-door travel for both public transport and car journeys around Britain.

Transport Direct is unique in that you can:

    * Compare public transport options with a car route to find a way of travelling which best suits your needs.

    * Obtain a car route that takes into account predicted traffic levels at different times of the day so that you can make informed decisions about when to travel.

    * Get an estimate of the cost of a car journey.

    * Buy train and coach tickets from affiliated retail sites without having to re-enter your details.

    * Use PDAs and mobile phones using the latest browser technology to find out departure and arrival times for railway stations throughout Britain and for some bus or coach stops.

    * Calculate CO2 emissions for a car or public transport for a specified journey.
