My friend made tea by adding the flowers in the water boiler. Smart idea?

My friend added the chamomile flowers into water boiler and then started the boiler. Later on, the tea was ready.

Do you think it is a good idea or is it an improper use of the boiler?

If by boiler you mean an electric kettle, no its not a good idea.
