Masturbation is normal.  The fact that she told you is not.  Since she is 12 I would imagine she does not have toys.  If you think it is sick, dont do it yourself.  Live and let live I guess.

i think it is normal for youngsters that age to explore thier bodies, and experiment with masterbation. the only abnormal part of your statement was the fact that she shared private intimate thing with you, even down to her technique. i think most keep it  to themselves.

Masturbation is completely normal and healthy.  Using your own hand is also the most common way to perform masturbation.  Especially as a teen since she obviously can purchase any "toys".  That being said, she should be a little more discreet about it.  No reason to discuss it with your friends if they are obviously uncomfortable.  Masturbation should be a private matter.  Just tell her that you don't want to talk about it the next time she brings it up.  No big deal.  

On a side note, if she's literally doing it "all the time" that may not be quite as normal.  A young girl that's only 12 years old should not be worrying about sexual desires THAT often.  Occasionally masturbating in the shower or in her bed at night is one thing, but she shouldn't be doing it several times a day every day.  That's too much.  I doubt she really does it "all the time" though.

lol as awkward and weird that is, it is very normal. i myself never did any of that when i was younger...at least not to my knowledge, but i do know a little girl who i was babysitting for a while used to hump her blankets and the floor...its really weird to watch, but if she ever did it again, i was told to tell her to stop, but it is considered to be natural. lol i guess if it freaks you out, just let her know to not talk about it to you.

it is normal at some point in time everybody even guys will do this at sometime in their lives at least she is doing this with herself and not going out and haveing s*x with all sorts of nasty lil things that run around these days it will be ok and is prob just a stage keep your head up it will get better good luck
