My friend needs some advice?

my friend told me thats she hadnt started her period yet. she is 14 like me and also told me that she masturbates. she thinks this has something to do with her not starting. i just want to give her advice but i dont know what to say to her please help.

she still has time,  but better see a dr, depends on the family histry of hers

It's not connected.  All girls start their periods at different times.  It depends on body size, diet, genetics - all sorts of things.

her not starting her period has nothing to do with her masturbating so girls don't start until 16  for many reasons ! how old was her mom when she started ? is she thin?  very athletic ?   you should tell her these things and they ask her to talk to her mom ! or at least ask her mom to talk her to a dr so  she can learn about this stuff better !

Those two are not connected.

Some girls don't start their period until later in their teen years and they are completely normal. If she still hasn't started by 16-17, then she may want to check in with a doctor about it (just to be safe)... but she is fine for now.

Masturbation is a normal activity and it won't cause any problems. It is merely a way to release sexual tension in a safe way. It also allows a person to discover themselves sexually. No biggie.

girls start a diffrent times in life i started at 9 my mate startin at 16 you just never no i dont think it matters if she masturbates

It's normal to start periods late, she could be overweight or anaemia but I don't think masturbating has anything to do with it.
