My friend recently stole makeup from walmart, I want to know how they caught her.

Question

She said that she went into the bathroom and took the makeup out of its paper and put the paper in the trash. After she checked out, a regular dressed guy caught her. I know that there are security guards that roam around in normal clothes, but I want to know if theres cameras in the bathroom (obviously not over the stalls) by the sinks? Or did they just use the cameras on the ceiling and noticed that she didnt have the makeup in her hand leaving the bathroom?

maybe you ar just courious, like i still wonder how my Dad knew I was doing things sometimes.  Really, how did he know!!   well he wasn't going to tell me because then I would find a way to get away with it!

I'm not going to tell you or you and your friend may use that knowledge to improve your technique!!  Just tell her notto steal.  It is so wrong on so many levels.  There is just no excuse for it and she should be very embarrassed.

If you have no intentions of stealing or telling her this information then i appologise.  But as a person who doesn't know you, you can understand my concern at your question xxxx.

There are more camera's than you can even imagine. Another thing is that potential thieves have a certain behaviors that raises a red flag. For examply, if they see a person wandering around the store for a long time with an empty basket, red flag. I have a friend who works at Macy's, and their loss prevention department trains employees; so does Walmart's. There are plain clothes security people who are alerted when someone looks suspicious. Also, there are certain things they say over the speaker system, that will tell security where the suspicious person is within the store. Stealing makeup from Walmart of all places, is downright pathetic.

hahaha is she that unattractive or self conscious that she needs to STEAL make-up? From WALMART? Not Macy's, not JC Penny, not even Nordstrom's Rack, but WALMART?

Yeah. Cameras...or maybe a customer just saw her and watched her actions, because you said a regular dressed guy caught her. Doubt it was about the bathroom. What's more important is that she shouldn't be stealing, not whether or not it was a bathroom camera that caught her.

everytime someone goes into a bathroom they look and make sure your stuff is still in your hand, or there is usually a normally dressed up security guard outside.
