  1. No, that is a distortion of republican ideology.

Republicans generally think the gov't should ensure americans have the *opportunity* to *persue* happiness.  They dont think its the gov't job to just hand it to you.

Republicans are supposed to like 'limited government' == dont make gov't any bigger than absolutely necessary and keep it as close to local as is reasonable.  Some stuff the constitution requires the federal govt to do (like national defense) other stuff is debatable and republicans tend to push stuff down to state and local where practical.

However, republicans have gone off the rails since Reagan getting poisoned by religion with all the crazy dogma and hypocrisy it brings with it.  Now limited government gets into your personal life, tells you who you can/cant marry, meddles in how you choose to die, tries to control your v****a.

Both parties are in the pockets of large companies and interests and are derilict in their duty to stop the weath transfer from middle amaerica to terrorists and oil sheiks.  The giant sucking sound Ross Perot warned about in 1992.

  2. Tell your friend that democrats = s***w You, I want more of what you worked for.

  3. yes most people will try and s***w you just so they can get ahead.

and as far as you having yours Dam! he's a lucky republican.

Makes me want to change parties.

  4. Actually, the Democrats seem to be the ones who are s******g the people who elected them.  They are the ones who don't want the off-shore or Anwar oil drilling and hide behind the far left environmentalists.  I have watched as the Democrats and Republicans have seen to sort of switch sides and it is weird but I'd say the Republicans are the ones who actually care about every day people.  Dems forget that it was President Clinton who started the out-sourcing of our jobs.  People tend to remember better economic times under Clinton, but we need to realize he was president during the dot.com boom and when that fell out, the economy started to slide.  And, in all my life, I can't remember a Democrat who lowered taxes and sent rebate checks to every family,  I grew up strictly Democrat but over the years, I have noticed these things and, since I am a moderate, I lean to the Republican side now and I am not some rich person; just a waitress.
