ok she got a small cut from a staple on her foot from a staple...we put rubbing alcohol on it but she's such a health freak she's afraid of getting lockjaw...i don't think its possible because the cut wasn't deep and didn't bleed at all...do you agree that she needs to chill???

  1. No blood, no risk.

  2. Yeah tell your friend to chill.  If it didn't bleed it probably did not enter the system.  "lockjaw" comes from tetanus, usually from old rusty metal. But tetanus shots last for about ten years, so she should be fine.  Give her a band aid and shot of tequila to calm her down... hahahaha

  3. most likely nothing will happen since Staples are not long enough to penetrate that deep into tissue, however puncture wounds are more susceptible to infection, make sure she cleans it regularly and looks for signs of infection like a red ring around the injury.

  4. YOU CAN ONLY GET LOCK JAW IF SHES NOT CURRENT ON HER TETANUS SHOTS, AND IF SHE GOES TO PUBLIC SCHOOL SHE IS CURRENT ON HER TETANUS SHOTS, IF SHES OUT OF PUBLIC SCHOOL CHECK HER SHOT RECORD TO SEE THE LAST TIME SHE HAD ONE, THEY SHOULD BE DONE EVERY 10 YEARS. TELL HER NOT TO WORRY, SHE'LL BE FINE.
