My friend thinks she might be pregnant and is still taking birth control, is this bad?

Her doc told her to wait another week or so to see if she is pregnant(she had been having unprotected s*x the last month and a bit,and was bad with taking the pills), and the doc said she may be pregnant but to wait to test. But the doctor told her to keep taking her pills.Is this bad??

I would say listen to her doctor because a doctor went to school to learn about this stuff so I would probably take his/her word over someone who didn't go through college to be a doctor.
