My friend thinks you have to be petite or really skinny to do pilates....?

Like I have an athletic/curvy build and my friend who wants to join me is volumptuous (and drop dead gorgeous) And so our friend doesn't think we can. She's being stupid, right?!?!

  1. Ha ha, how clueless is she. I'm quite thick and muscular and I do pilates. Having a slight build with no muscle mass is not a requirement to do pilates. Just ignore her and enjoy your workout.


  2. Yes your friend is wrong...anyone can do Pilate's...actually it is often recommended to obese people because it is easy on the joints and tons muscle. If this friend is being annoying I would do it with out her... if you ask me it sounds like she is having a problem and it has nothing to do with  working out.. Tell her you are sorry she feels this way but you want to work out and have fun, she can join you or not.... if she doesn't like that she needs to do some growing up!

  3. You do pilates to get thin, you don't have to be thin to start with.  Your other friend seems to have some issues, ask her to go with you to pilates. If she says no  then go without her, it's not ditching if you asked to join you.
