My friend just told me that Detroit, Michigan is where suppressed market is..he said something like that..I'm not quite sure what he meant by that..did he mean that Detroit is a horrible place to live and work?? If any of you understand what I'm trying to understand, please elaborate..thanks...

  2. I saw a poll on Yahoo recently which placed Detroit at the top of the list for poor economic state due to layoffs and housing situation.

  3. Suppressed Market is a Conspiracy Theory that would mean that we as a nation have the means to progress faster but that certain groups of power suppress this from happening to avoid further resources be used on the poor and the middle class, and keep their status quo.

  4. I think he said that Detroit is a DEPRESSED market.  As in they are in a recession due to high unemployment.

  5. Depressed market due to foreign trade crushing the mainstay of that city,which was automaking.

  6. your friend meant depressed as in economics' have you heard of the big depression ?  its where all the jobs paid bad wages, and that most of the population couldn't even get a job...it is just an expression, don't worry about it at your age.
