  1. go with what trendz says.

  2. carb cleaner, using water will just get everything unworkable,gas/air mix, not water, good way to clog your fuel system, that's why it says carb cleaner, then use air to blow out passages

  3. Friends don't let Friends work on their Go-karts. That is for mechanics.

  4. >>   but he want to do it with water.

No.  You need carb cleaner. They are cheap.

    Good Luck....

  5. mate is have a pocket bike and the carb on it is similar, i use water to clean it and water will be fine as long as you take out the jet and all oter parts like that and make sure its 100% dry, it wouldnt hurt to tip some petrol through it before you put it back on either

  6. Be safe and buy the carb cleaner.

  7. Sounds like he knows that by adding a dash of water into the carb the water breaks up carbon deposits on the valves and pistons obviously he will be reving the engine to keep it going after which he will? add a dash of tranny fluid to lubricate the valves and pistons.......................he is using an old mechanics trick that dates back to the fifties

  8. NONONO!!! use brake cleaner
