My friend told this to me, and I'm wondering if someone could explain?

I repeat that my friend is worried about this nightmare she had last night. I told her I would ask you good folks, so please try to give an accurate answer. If you need any background info on her, let me know. Thanks in advance!

"I had this dream that I attempted suicide, by shooting myself (oddly) in the BACK of the head...I didn't die though, and I was still fully functional, I just kind of walked around with it like that. Every time I would reach back and touch it, I would feel my brain and I would get dizzy and freak out. There was blood EVERYWHERE, all over me, my hands, my back. It was horrible. I was wondering what a dream like this signifies?"

Dreams are just imaginings of one's mind when it is allowed to run free, and as such are not something to place much value on, in terms of reality.  

IOW, it DOESN'T mean she's going to commit suicide, or that she's going to get shot in the head, or anything, for that matter.  

I will say that I like her imagination!  That is such a cool dream - better than any horror movie.

anywhoo.. i guess it could mean anything.

is she depressed? or something??

i think it symbolizes a change she is making in herself. she is shooting a part of her brain away, but does not die, she is just growing and changing. she may be afraid when she realizes in her waking life that she is going through this, but her sleeping mind is trying to tell her that even though it is dramatic, she will survive.

dreams usually don't mean anything in reality, it's just your imagination running wild. dreams are involuntary and might frighten you but it is really nothing. most dreams are forgotten 3 seconds after you awake. forget about it, live life, that is what you imagination is doing!!!
