Question:

My friend was arrested for possession of cocaine?

I convinced my friend to turn himself in for a warrant. He lied and told me it for a fight he had gotten into but I knew it had something to do with drugs. I just checked the arrest records and he did turn himself in for possession of cocaine something he told me he did. He is my friend I figured he needed someone to be there for him and not judge him for once in his life. I'm very happy he turned himself in. I'm just unsure of what is the best way to help him at this point. I know he wants to change, not sure how much he wants to change. Are there any books I can send him that might aide him in finding the courage he needs to get through this hard time? Would sending money to his commissary be a wise thing to do. I know this is a battle he has to win, but just knowing him has helped me and I would like to return the favor.

  1. Try talking him into going to rehab. Just be there for him.

Do you go to church? If so, bring him along. It's always good to bring a "third party" into the group.
