The rider contributed largely to the accident. The patch of the highway was under construction and accident prone.

What are his cahnces of getting scot free?

  1. You say "largely".  It sounds like some of it was your friends fault.

Get a lawyer.  Saying things like that to a cop or a judge will cost your friend his freedom.

It happens everyday - especially to new riders:

    good Luck...

  2. If your "friend" was even partly at fault you are not getting off scott free.  In an accident where someone dies 99% of the time you will never get off scott free.

  3. your friend is going to h**l

  4. You basically have given us zero information and expect someone to give you information on the odds your friend would get off scot free? You dont even say how the impact happened. Was either party drinking. Was either party speeding (especially taking into account it was a construction zone). Was the bike rear ended? Was it sideswiped.

I mean seriously come on and give the facts of the case, or dont expect any useful answers.
