  1. OK,,,I think you have the wrong term used here. Your friend has an active warrent. It was discovered and he was arrested for that.

His car was then impounded? When it was impounded, it was inventoried and drug paraphenalia was discovered so a citation was issued.

The wrong terminology (if I am correct) is your saying he bonded out. With an active warrent, no bond would be allowed but I think the term you are looking for is he was BOUND  over to the county jail and is currently being held.

If I am incorrect, please post an addendum and let me know the correct procedures that occurred.

To answer your question as I am reading it, he will sit in county until he can be heard in court for the outstanding warrent. Since this is more than likely an FTA warrent, bond is automatically denied.  If he was cited on drug abuse, he will also be booked at some point in the near future and have to deal with a secondary charge.

There is no telling on the time elements in this since it is an outstanding warrent.

Best of luck and I hope this is useful to you

  2. Your details don't make sense.  How could he bond out and then be sent to jail?  As to his warrant, it depends upon why it was issued.  If a felony warrant, he can be kept as long as it takes to resolve the problem.

  3. until he bonds out or sits out his fine.
