  1. If you like Tintin, the Belgian comic book character, Hanoi shops are filled with painted reproductions of the book covers on glossy wooden panels. They are beautiful and will usually cost less than $4 U.S.

There is also a good silk market there; plenty of food-oriented items (bowls, chopsticks, etc.); and there's even a little store which specializes in historic communist propaganda posters, which are brilliantly kitschy/nostalgic/ironic, if you like that kind of thing.

  2. I went to Hanoi for a month and a half in the summer! :D You should ask for .. Well I don't know, I got this cool fanthing for my friend and she liked it, and if your friend goes to the beach there's always souvenir stands with pretty cool stuff, like swans made from shells and stuff..

  3. THE REST OF THE LIST OF MIA'S  AND KIA's WOULD BE  NICE SOUVENIRS..........."WE WILL NEVER FORGET"

  4. an enya c.d.

  5. Silk bags or any silk items...plenty of them at Van P**c..just 30 minutes from old quarters...there are also plenty of silk in old quarters, but need to bargain.

  6. Bring back a chic.Vietnamese chics there is hot as h**l, or maybe it just the intense summer heat that make them hot

  7. My brother brought back a stuffed cobra from that country. Just an idea.

  8. If you enjoy coffee, I'd ask him to bring some Nescafe Vietnamese Instant complete.  Comes in little individual servings and is so good iced.  It would be easy for them to pack and bring home too.  Silk Scarves are nice too. Cheers
