I'm thinking about buying Everlast High Performance Hook-and-Loop Training Gloves http://store.titleboxing.com/titleb...

-Are these ok to buy?

-I'm about 150 lbs. and was thinking about going with the 12oz. pair.

-We aren't using any headgear

  1. the gloves you chose are good but you should get heavier ones like 16oz especially since your not wearing head gear, i suggest you get mouth pieces atleast and dont forget some petroleum jelly.

  2. Fight night sounds interesting, but be smart about it. Regardless of gloves (16 oz. Grant gloves) IMO, get a couple pair of safe headgear and the boil and form mouthpiece, which are only a couple of bucks, but can/will be saved your teeth. Have fun about it,but don't be stupid either. Buy the safest and best (Grant) then if and when you're through, sell them as used on ebay. Grantboxinginc.com

  3. mate for a start make sure you have appropriate headgear lol thats more important than gloves..but as for them id recommend sparring gloves which are about 16oz bare minimum id say 14oz...i sparred the yunger guys at my club without head gear I am a welterweight and had a good 2 or 3 stone on them and I can really feel the difference..ive had over a hundred amateur fights...USE HEAD GEAR!!! ;-)

  4. Get 16 ounce and mouthguards. Put the fights on youtube and have fun. Don't let tempers get out of control.

  5. Pick the ones that fit your hands... I used to be in karate, we always used the ones that fit, but they had to be soft... (But we were using headgear)
