Ok

so you know the book twilight?

yeah well so do I

Now I'm not bashing the book at all,

i mean i read half of twilight and..

its just not my type of book.

but of coarse my 2 best friends absolutely LOVE the book

they are counting down to the movie, every time i talk to them they are like 103 DAYS LEFT!

Now them being obsessed with it, i don't mind

its when I'm with both of them and all they do is talk about that stupid book and i have no idea what there talking about!

There like "OMG that guy TOTALLY reminds me of edward!"

and"OMG i wish i was bella!"

"Hey doesn't that remind you of new moon?"

ITS SO ANNOYING

its almost like i feel i need to read the book just to get what they are talking about half the time!

I just wish they would move on!

Any suggestions?

  1. Aaah.. the obbsession of twilight.

My friends were exactly like that, i just told them straight up.. can we talk about something else? not about twilight? of course they got mad at me but i explained how annoying they got.. it went out well. just took a while for them to get over it.. they still love twilight though.

I honestly think theres no "nice" way to tell them to  stop talking about twilight. just be straight up. you'll be fine.

If your extremely annoyed you dont even want to hang out with them and not be friends.. just give them some time.. theyll get over it someday.. ignore them or keep bugging them about something you like. and if they get annoyed just continue on. either give a silent treatment with some ditching or be annoying.

    Good luck.

  2. You really can't get in the way of fangirls. lmao I've been hearing my friends for almost 7 years now regarding the Harry Potter films and although I used to get annoyed, I'm now on their bandwagon.

As for what you can, you can try to let them know that you don't like the book and try to convince them to talk about other things. If you find them talking about it again, just try to bring up something else right away and hope for the best.

  3. haha sounds like my friend.

    Just change the subject stealthily

  4. tell them to shut their traps or youll kick their ***.

    or, ignore it.

  5. You need to talk to them and ask if they can tone down the "Twilight" obsession around you as you'd rather talk about other things as well.

Or you could constantly change the subject and when they get intolerable, walk off and talk to someone else.

Hopefully, it's just a phase and the obsession will die down soon.

    Good Luck
