  1. blood type and genetics matter when marrying if they plan to have kids. RH-negative is still a possibility as of today and happens alot, and it's because no one thought about blood types prior to marriage.

  2. Warm blooded I should hope!

Unless he is Amish (they have their own blood type due to, for lack of a better word, inbreeding), then he shouldn't worry about blood type...he should look for love.

  3. It doesn't matter.  If your friend is positive and he marries a positve girl, then no big deal.  If your friend marries a negative girl then she'll just have to get one shot during pregnancy (no big deal) and one shot after she gives birth.  My husband is positve blood type and I'm negative.  The reason for the shot is so if the baby is born with a different blood type then the mother there isn't an issue with anitbodies of the mom fighting off the baby.  Really no big deal, your friend can marry any girl.  :)

  4. Perhaps you're from a culture that differs from mine, ignorant Americans being what we are and all, but why would that factor into a marriage decision unless you're a vampire?

Flowerlady -- now you've got me thinking. I remember from *somewhere* a long time ago that if two RH-negative people marry, that it can be difficult/impossible to have more than one pregnancy.
