  1. You mean breaking?

    DNA is the norm nowadays.

Frankly, if the car is not damaged at all, I doubt whether police wishes to look further into this.

  2. if there is no visible damage then who ever stole this car had access to the keys and or he left the keys in the car if he request it then they should do fingerprints

  3. My neighbor once had his car stolen and had no damage. They did fingerprint but the police kept the vehicle for a week. And when he got it back it was a mess after all of the finger printing.

I really doubt the police are going to be really interested as there was no damage and it was found down the street... not 500 miles away or even 20 miles away. A thief who had the knowledge and equipement to make a key would just steal it.

If it was teens on a joyride they would need a key or know how to hot wire a car.

So the assumption will be made that it was someone in his household, someone who has access to it, someone he knows and all of that sort of thing. In all cases even if the police diid spend the time and money to print the car odds are the persons prints are not in the system....... not when it was left a few streets over.
