My friends dad is from the KKK?

I hate him and so does my friends(son of father). He recently found out that I was hanging out with him, me ofcoarse not knowing anything went up to say to say hi, but he refused and dragged my friend in the car. I didn't know what wrong thing i did and my friend didn't tell me anything about his father. He then calls my house and says that if your son(me) ever gets near his son again he'll call the police. I feel so humiliated and so do my parents. The next day I ignored him for fear that his father might do something and my friend gave me a note saying that he's from KKK... Is this the end of a reallly good relationship..why???

but no i don't think you should stop being his friend unless he is like his dad

  Someone is blatant liar because K.K.K. members never admit membership except to other members.This includes their own family and closest friends.

the son isn't like the father, so i would ask your friend if he wants to keep the friendship or if he feels it needs to end for his safty. Either choice he makes, be a good friend and support it.
