She might not be "that smart", but that doesn't mean she is "mentally handicapped".

But assuming that she is legally insane and suffering with "serious" mental defects then she is not legally capable of consenting for s*x, and your friend can be charge with rape. (But this is only if she really have some severe mental retardation).

If she is just "not that smart" (meaning "ignorant" or a "moron"). Then she can consent and you have no standing in whatever they decide to do.

I hope this is not you being jealous.

Remember that "ignorant" is not the same as being "insane". I know a lot of people that are morons but that doesn't make them "mentally handy capped"; using your definition, a lot of people would be in the mental hospital.

um why would it be wrong, they are also people too. She might have deep feelings for him and he might need attention in life. she might just is being nice to him and helping him out.
