Well, in Gone With The Wind, "...the Wilkinson's always marry their cousins..."  :-) If it's good enough for Ashley, then...it's okay!

I think in this case, it has more to do with he age difference and the way they were raised. if he grew us as a parent figure, there could be some power issues there, but if they hardly knew each other and are similar ages, than I don't see any problem with it.
