  1. just try to cheer him up im sure he will come around im sorri for your friend...

  2. its usual, the dog is lonely and sad from the loss of its friend, its normal, dont worry.

  3. A common occurence. Dog is mourning.

  4. I went through the same thing last november,I lost one dog to cancer and the other wouldn't eat or anything. I got worried after a few days of mourning myself and he was still not eating and just laying around the house so I took him to my vet and told me that he was mourning the loss of his best friend  and that dogs are not much different than humans in that aspect to just wait he will come around,he did and is fine now.

Sorry for your friends loss good luck.

  5. There is nothing you can do for the dog except wait. Dogs are no different from people when someone close to them dies. She is in mourning and it will take some time for her to adjust. Just make sure to watch her and if she doesn't eat or drink for 3 days call the vet. Always have food and water available until she can get over the loss.

  6. dogs have feelings too and get attached to others like us...sorry about your friends dog

  7. The dog is mourning. Just give the dog time. Don't baby it or feel sorry for it or it will never stop this behavior.

  8. the other dog misses your friend's dog.

he must be feeling pretty down in the dumps w/o him or her.

interact with the dog as much as possible.

maybe call the vet for advice?

  9. I had this problem when my black lab, Mason died. The other dog, Wallace didn't want to eat, drink, play or do anything. He was an only dog after Mason passed away, and once we got a new puppy, after about 10 days of having the puppy he started to cheer up.

But your dog isn't an only dog, so I'm puzzled.

Maybe just talk to him, play with him, make him feel special to get his mind off of the other dog passing away?
