My friends don't understand me.....?

my friends don't understand why im introverted by the way they are very extroverted they mistake me for having low confidence and not getting out enough which is not the case.... i love my introverted nature but since it was effecting my friendship with them i thought id talk to them but they talked to me like it was in denial and and they didn't seem open minded .....

by the way i am 16 and i knew them since elementary school...

what should i do find a new understanding friend.........???

Well, no, i dont think u shud find new friends...stick to them coz u never ever have too many friends...what's important is ur personality...dont change it..i myself am very introverted and it takes me ages to get comfortable with others...however introverted people are more trusted by others, and are very honest in most cases. :D
