My friends phone will not recieve or make calls but the phone is not turned off how can we fix this?

so every other phone in her family is good and they tried calling her and i tried calling her she tried cleaning her battery and switching her phone off and then on

Maybe her SIM card is messing up, maybe someone with the same kind of SIM card can try putting theirs in her phone, and if it works, its her SIM. Umm,, other than that maybe her phone is the one messing up, you can try HER SIM card on someone elses phone and if it works then its her phone
