  1. Ok since u haven't explained alot .....

Pigrooting: give him a hit with a whip. firm but not too hard to actually hurt him.

Pulling out on jumps: same as above ^^^^^^^. turn them around and make them do the jump.

stopping at jumps: Tap with the whip and make him go over it if it is small or smallish jump make him do it at a walk dont turn around unless it is a big or medium jump. ( small jump 7 inchs. smallish jump 16 - 20 inches)

bolting: spin around in a small circle by pulling on one rein

    biting: smack on the nose

rearing: pull downwards below the horses mouth and try to slide off side ways.

pulling on the reins: try and keep ur hands still so when he pulls he is only pulling on his own mouth u r not doing anything and he should stop. if not maybe a tap because he could hurt him self.

umm.... thats all i can think of right now.

hope i helped give mroe info in ur answers next time maybe it will help with peoples answers.

hope i dont sound mean just them im  only being help full

  2. i don't know what you mean by cheeky, but we have a pony for camp that I consider "cheeky".  she makes faces and swings her head around at people.  it was steadily getting worse, but someone started a technique that worked really well for this particular horse.  whenever she started to make faces either the instructor or I would march over, make a claw with our hand, and use our "claw" to push her hard in the neck to turn her head back.  we might growl or make an ugly noise.  no beating, nothing dramatic, just assertively and clearly identifying what we won't stand for.  I won't say that it will work for all horses (it could make some worse, I'm sure) but it worked for this mare.  we haven't transferred that to anyone else so she gives other people trouble unfortunately but if the mare's doing something she shouldn't be all the instructor or i have to do is look at her and growl to make her freeze whatever she's doing.

  3. wat do u mean by cheeky?

  4. Dominance, the pony probably thinks it can get away with a lot and "dominance" does not mean beating her to make her listen simply by turning her away from you or making her do something again and again till she understands she WONT get away with it. A stern voice is very helpful.

If its her behaviour like biting, then she needs to be told NO and ignored, No tip bits as it will only encourage.

really this question hasn't got enough detail but what ever the problem is your friend needs to show her pony that sh is in charge.

  5. Accept his personality.  Cheekiness is a common pony trait, it sets them apart from horses and makes them more fun.  If he's downright naughty that can be addressed, but you will never change his personality - and you shouldn't want to!

  6. Thats hard to answer when you have not given much to work with for the people who will answer your question

  7. Cut down on the amount of hay.

  8. More info please! What does the horse do that makes her/him cheeky?

  9. make the pony respect her more i would try join-up or possibly parelli games.
