  1. Yeah, my cousin had the same surgery when he was like 6 and it worked perfectly.

However, if you still feel weird about it, maybe you should tell your friend to get a second opinion.

  2. I guess this is something that females wouldn't ordinarily know but prior to puberty a boy's testicles will "pull up inside" (inside the abdomen there are little "pockets" for them) if exposed to cold (swimming etc) whereas after puberty the s*****m will contract when exposed to cold water but the testicles will remain outside of the abdomen.  Some guys have problems before puberty getting them to descend and stay down. Some need surgery because it'll cause problems if they stay inside.  One friend had to have one removed because of that. He made the mistake of telling his friends and was thereafter always known as "Uno".

  3. no

  4. some kids to suffer from this--undescended t******e and if left unchecked it could create bigger problems.

Not sure if the surgery is risky but I do know that it does help the kid--his t******e will be lowered from the stomach(this is where the undesending t******e remains while the child is developing so no biggy.  Do say a prayer with your friend to give him some peace and a light of hope--prayer does get answered.
