My fuse to my radio recently just burnt out. I lost the owners manual to figure out which fuses are which. I have a 1992 Cadillac. Someone told me it should be blue with number 15 on it. But I pulled that one including the other 4 blue ones.Does anyone have any clue how to help out.

  1. Somewhere on or inside the cover to the fuse box should be a diagram that tells you which fuse is which.  Use that as your guide

  2. HI

There is a possibility if its an aftermarket radio there may be an in-line fuse to it. follow the red wire out the back of the radio and see if there is a fuse link in it. other than that it could be marked on the fuse block as well as a diagram on the fuse block cover.

    good luck

  3. Take a test light and turn on the ignition on the top of the fuse you will find 2 small openings where you can touch the meal in the fuse with your test light touch each side of evey fuse till you find one that only lights on one side. That fuse is blown. As for the cause of the blown fuse the memory circuit for the radio is on the same fuse as the cigarette lighter and is a common problem I have seen coins get dropped into the lighter by children or lighters shorted out. also don't be surprised if you find it's a yellow 20 amp fuse instead.

  4. If you don't have the guide, pull one fuse and look at it and see if it is burned.  You will see that the wire going through it is broken if it is bad.  If not, put it back in and go to the next one until you find it.

If you can find a Chilton's guide for $10, let me know where you got it.  They are $20 here in Oklahoma.

  5. Buy a chilton manual.  It is good to have around and like $10.  All the help you will need.
