  1. go to college and major in something that makes you happy but that will also set you up for a legit career. when you gain enough money try to make an independent film. you can only go as far as you let yourself.

    good luck!!

  2. Art fields- one of the only fields that leave you asking what do i do when you know exactly what you want

well what i decided to do was never let what i love not be a part of my life, always do it. but don't let yourself starve and end up on the streets in the meantime. you should consider the "next best field" that you would want to go into. and besides like you said you don't like the whole hollywood thing, so not making it big in that world isn't a worry. maybe even deciding to ake documentrys and traveling, and if you wake up one day and find you want something more with it then you will be better and more stable to make that decision. your still young and your entire life is not on the line for what you do after highschool, you will have many chances.

  3. well the only place to succeed with that is going to calif. you could maybe hit new york and maybe find something there. private school would be best for that but then again i am not sure in this state is cheaper university so its best to go where you re comfortable.

  4. Junior college first.

Pursue your film-making while you go to college.

    Stay close to your family.

  5. hmm i wanna be the president but i hate politics.

  6. if u love movies but hate hollywood you can try the indie scene in new york but you'd have to work for hire to make ends meet. Or else do advertising where you can make ad films and music videos to pay the rent and use the money to make your own art house films for festivals. btw filmmakers don't need to go to school -- just star making movies so u have a decent demo reel and go from there. Now u owe me 10 points for that informative answer

  7. If private school cost way more than you have, go for junior college. Make movies, sure, but if you don't want to do Hollywood, then don't. Some people make movies for a living, but don't go for Hollywood. But do prepared for Hollywood, it's a big chance out there but if you don't want it, then don't. Everything might seem like a blur right now, but once take a step, that step will lead you to thousands and millions of steps ahead.

  8. go to a junior college. no matter what school you go to, you have to take the basics your first two years. they alllll require the same junk. no use wasting your money. during this time, research schools that offer film programs (i live in wilmington, nc and there is a uncw here that offers a great film program-the biggest tv/movie studio outside of LA is here!) there is also another school devoted to just film in nc somewhere, but in the mid-western part. my future is still a blur and im 21, but ive come to terms with it. graduating is stressful and overwhelming, youll be just fine. just dont waste money going to schools that arent needed. you do NOT want to get married under the age of 25, and thats pushing it still. i have 4 friends that got married between high school and now, all 4 are already divorced and having to raise kids. get your education, get a steady job. make sure you can support yourself. THEN decide on a family. being far away from family isnt too bad either, it helps you become more independent. then again, my family has never been close. you can always move, just think of things being temporary. good luck in everything-youll be just fine : )

  9. go to community college which you can afford for 2 years, then switch to a university with a strong department majoring in film.  what you see in the magazines isn't what really goes on in hollywood.  major in filmmaking and then start getting a job on a film crew and work up from there.  it's just a job, no more drama than other jobs imho.

  10. haha me2 i am a senior and i have no idea of what to do with my life...i have always been the girl that has had everything planned out for her like AP classes and honors....beta club and National Honors societies....btw no im not a nerd just saying.....but right now i am looking at the vast sea of wonder that is my life and i realized that i have no idea..not one ....of what is going to happen after my senior year and for once i kinda like not knowing...good luck to you tho..hope you find your dreams and that they all come true for you

  11. first of all stop and take a deep breath!

look into junior colleges that have excellent programs in the creation of movies. do your research to narrow it down to the ones that have had the best graduating classes, best costs etc. also look up about independent film making and creating your own documentaries.

dont stress about the marriage and family part just yet! you're a senior in high school. things will happen when they are supposed to. just relax and focus on getting through the last year of high school and remember to have fun! =]

oh and ask your guidance counselor...thats what they are there for!

  12. get into advertising. you can make small budget movies with your spin on it. and if youre any good you can make good money. good luck

  13. I suggest going to a junior college for two years (make sure your hours will transfer to the university you eventually want to attend) UCLA has a fantastic film school. There are many avenues available in film that don't involve the glitz and glamour of hollywood and focus on the art and creativity of film.  Discipline yourself and make good friends.  If you handle your money wisely, you can build a solid savings account that will allow some freedom to travel home occassionally.  But for now just get those first two years under your belt and stay around your family.  Good luck!
