... when she has this tiny, yellow micro-bikini? So I'm trying to get my Dad to buy or rent some 22', inboard 80 hp engine ski boat.

Does anybody know the best, the fastest AND the Cheapest? I suppose they all need a trailer?

  1. Tell your dad You'll drive, he can watch her and be the flag guy.

  2. sozdnt reli knw about boats but i thinkit could go both ways - u could let her - this will obvi make u uncomfortale or u could just refuse and say no - this will make u happpier bt why not sit her dow and tell her - just sa tha ur day or someone else wont feel comfortable - that might helpthe situation xx gd luck

  3. cheapest would probably be a bayliner, and by the way you cant refuse

  4. If your have never pulled a skier than don't as the wrong move and she gets hurt> So have some 1 with experience do it will save you in the long run>Beside her tiny suit will be removed if she splats> 80 hp inboard 22' boat won't pull a skier. less itself??

  5. First of all you do nto want to buy a boat to take her skiing, boats cost more money than you think for maintenance, and more importantly you do nto want to tow her around the lake or ocean if you have never driven with a skier on the back, much less even driven a boat. rent one first, i am sure the place that rents it will find someone to tag a ong to show youhow to operate for a few times, or you practice turning and driving the boat around for an hour or two to get the hang of it, just be carefull.....your best bet though is send me a pic of her(if she is over 18) and maybe i will take her water skiing.

  6. Depends how old you are, how much $$ you have to part with, and a host of other factors.  You can find older, seventies trihulls, 15'17 feet long, with a 50-90 HP outboard for a grand or less, and if you are handy, they can last for decades more.   You can easily ski a lighter person with a 25HP motor on a v-bottom aluminum boat, but it's tough.  Look for at least a 50 on a light runabout, and preferably upwards of 75.  Just remember to consider that your gas consumption at full throttle is usually about HP/10 gallons per minute.  For example, a 150HP engine conumes 15 gal/hr.  At $4/gal, this is harsh.

I run a 1970 Johnson 85HP V4 every weekend for wakeboarding and during the week for fishing.  It won't be a gorgeous boat, but you can reserve that for later in life.  Don't p**s away money on a fancy fast boat unless you have a lot of disposable income.    Don't start with a 22'.  Get something smaller, more agile, and faster turning, so you can whip around and get her quickly when she falls.    Look on craigslist in your area.

  7. The cheapest is probably the oldest most run down one...

  8. I thought they spoke English in England
