I've had a few of these weird problems before and just unplugged the unit for awhile and plugged it back in and it was ok. This time the light is staying on constantly as well. Help!

  1. Check the sensors and make sure they are in place and nothing is blocking them. Get the book out on this equipment and read the trouble shooting part.

  2. The door may be binding on the way down causing the door to go back up. Check to see if the alignment is ok.

  3. Couple of things to play with.... it probably isn't your floor sensors.  There should be a access door on your unit.  Open it up and look for a  dial that controls how far the door closes.  You'll have to turn it with a flathead screwdriver.  Adjust this one so that it doesn't close as much.  You'll probably have to play with it until you get what you want. There is also a force dial.    It sounds like you just need to adjust the force as it closes too.  If you can't figure out which one is which look at the owners manuel.  If you don't have it your should be able to go online and find it there.

I've had the same problem with my opener as well as many of my customers.  Hope I helped.
