My gas propane grill is brand new, only had it for a year, and the flames are very small, even when on high?

The flames are so small, and I really don't think the propane tank is empty because we always shut it off and we haven't used it very much... any suggestions on stuff to check or ways to make them bigger? It's a relatively cheaper grill, but not THE cheapest... thank you for your help!

  1. CHECK THE AIR MIXTURE ADJUSTMENTS

  2. that happens to mine once in a while to. try turning off the gas valve to the tank, remove the hose from the tank and re-attach the hose back to the tank. if that doesn't work, check to see that the little screens where the burner goes onto the gas tube isn't clogged.

when mine does it it's the first one if i haven't used it in a while.

  3. Spider or other may have made a home inside the gas line.  Carefully dis-assemble and clean and inspect and re-assemble.

  4. you probably have an air pocket in the hose. Try turning the gas off on the tank then turn the burners on then turn on gas at tank

  5. It sounds like the regulator is stuck.

Turn off the Gas at the tank, remove the tank, that valve that is attached to the hose has the regulator next to it .The regulator has a vent hole on top of it.( IT SAY VENT ON IT) blow and suck on the vent to free the valve. Note: it needs very little pressure to free the regulator.

Reconnect the hose and tank , and it should fix your problem
