Geckos are reptiles. Its normal. ALL reptiles shed.

Well, it would be helpful if you actually said what type of gecko you have. But it is normal. All reptiles shed.

Yes, it's normal for your gecko to shed.  I don't know what species gecko you have; but some geckos even eat their skin as it is shed.

Just before shedding (and during), it's helpful to increase the humidity in its tank (using a cool steamer), or in a hide bowl lined with moist paper towels, and placed nearer it's 'warm end' of the tank.

I could provide more information on the care of your gecko at shedding time, if I knew what type of gecko it is.
