My gerbil has a red, weepy nose?

I was watching her, and she seems to have a bloody nose. She'll sit in the corner and scratch her nose, but acts normal otherwise. I wondered if there was anything I could do?

  1. You might have heard this but , take it to a vet. The vet will take care of it.

  2. call a vet for help.

  3. i think you should bring it to a vet and email me and answer this question:how long has it been bleeding for if it's been days then definitely bring it to a vet if you have any questions or this doesn't answer you question email me @ amberkinz98@yahoo.com p.s. if it's not bleeding it might also be sick

  4. maybe change the sawdust and use more fluff - could be a reaction. if it carries on being bloody go to a vet

  5. All this is , is mucus , all gerbils have it , its the color of blood but its actually natural and it can become crusty from chewing onthe wire or wiping her nose off stuff, EVERY single gerbil I have has it. She's fine, it'll heal on it's own.  Good luck!

  6. Actually its just the mucous in the nose.  Gerbils' mucous is red. You dont have to worry.
