  1. Did she live in UK as their dependent with them in UK while they were working in UK ?

How old is your GF ?

Where is she living now a days ?

  2. At age 25 she needs to apply for indefinite leave to remain, on her own merits. No she is not able to apply on their status.

Only children under age 18 still dependent on their parents are eligible to become citizens on the parents application.

  3. Bloody h**l, there are so many questions on here about getting british citizenship. They cant be very proud to be south african!

  4. It depends on her age. If she is independent then no. I believe she is regarded as dependent (as a female) until she is 21. Older than that and she is on her own.

  5. Depents what kind of British Passports - think there's a Commonwealth version which permits a person to come to UK but not sure for how long.

I know that a lot of SA folk, Oz folk and NZ folk have right of abode here in UK due to ancestry etc.

    Check it out.

  6. she has a better chance, but still has to apply like everyone else unless she is a minor

  7. She'll need to apply.

I have Australian and British (Mum Brit / Dad Okker) but I had to apply for the British one.

  8. n she has to apply in her own right

    there is no guanrentee
