Americas on Post Oak, you cannot get too much more artsy and the food is great.

The Melting Pot - has a tremendous special going on right now 2 for $66.  The ding experience is unique although it's a chain.

You cannot get more artsy than Cafe Express in the Museum of Fine Art Houston, and the food is not bad.

It is a family owned Italian joint in Copperfield area of Houston. Great food and environment. They have a live piano player on select nights. Much better tasting than Olive Garden and much more original.

The Melting Pot!!! I don't know if they have on in your area, but look it up online and see if they do. its my absolute favorite #1 restaurant!!! she will love it. i promise.

I have to agree with luis, Rositas has good food so does the Pappasitos.

Should you end up in Austin Eddy V's is amazing.  Pricey but really great seafood and steaks.  Highly recommend the lobster tail.  Sorry I couldn't be of more help.
