My gf lives in turkey and will be visiting usa in aug. what paperwork will she need to visit mexico?

your "girlfriend" will need to get a passport and a visa.  she will also need to get immuneity shots.

If your girlfriend is a Turkish citizen, she will need to apply for a Mexican tourist visa to visit Mexico.  This is also the case if she is a citizen of any of these countries:

To apply, she would need the following:

- her passport

- a completed visa application form

- proof of finances (letter of employment, bank statements, letter of support from family, etc)

In addition, the embassy or consulate where she applies may also request:

- application fee

- a passport-size photograph

- photocopies of the passport pages containing her photo and personal details (name, birth date, etc)

The application can take up to 4-6 weeks to process, depending on where it is submitted.  She can apply in person at a Mexican embassy or consulate, or she may be able to apply by mail.  The Mexican embassy is in Ankara, but there are consulates in Istanbul and Izmir.

I highly recommend that she contact the nearest consulate to find out exactly what she'll need when she applies.  We applied for a Mexican tourist visa for my husband once, and we had to make multiple trips (and phone calls) to the consulate before we had all the documents they wanted!

She will need her pass port for traveling anywhere into the US she also needs to keep a seperate form of picture I.D  :) Have fun
