My girl cat keeps peeing?

I have a 5 year old spayed cat that I have noticed today has went to the litter box 3 times in 2 hours. She seems to just sit there for a while without going at all. She doesnt seem to be in any pain but I'm pretty sure it's a UTI. I'm just nervous because I just lost my 8 year old cat to kidney failure and I don't want her to go through that as well. I'm monitoring her water intake and litter box visits...any info you could give me? Will be making a visit to the Vet very soon if it doesnt change.

Maybe she has a weak bladder, or she has been drinking a lot more water than eating.

Don't worry too much, as long as you get her to a vet soon she'll probably be fine.
